As of 2015, Head of the newly founded Institute for Medical Informatics (I4MI) at BFH. Strong commitment in the area of (semantic) interoperability, ICT-process analysis and implementation of ehealth projects.

Expertise in evaluation – both from the manufacturer's perspective as well as that of the hospital – of information systems, expert systems, interfaces platforms; teaching in the areas of «Swiss healthcare system», eHealth, IT systems, medical documentation, medical statistics, development of clinical applications for mobile devices.

Regular guest lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences in St. Gallen (Switzerland). The main author of the evaluation manual «eHealth Implementation Projects in Switzerland».
