 <methoden><p>A variety of different methods which are student-centered. Students will read a variety of texts, articles in original version, use various writing exercises such as letter-writing, short texts, and reports. The emphasis is placed on spoken language to enable students to communicate effectively in professional situations with presentations, debates, non-professional situations in discussions and oral exercises. Some language-use activities will be incorporated.</p></methoden>
 <vorkenntnisse><p>Common European Framework of reference for languages B2 level.</p></vorkenntnisse>
 <ziele><p>This module is based on the C1 level. Students will be able to keep up a conversation in a fairly wide range of topics. Students will be able to scan a variety of texts for relevant information, and understand detailed instructions or information. The expected level at the end of the two courses is C2.</p></ziele>

 <lehrinhalte><p>Students will read articles and reports dealing with contemporary problems in which writers adopt specific viewpoints. Students will extend the reading, writing, listening and speaking. Students will develop more complex arguments in a variety of different areas and use them in writing activities such as essays, letters and professional texts. Students can interact in their field of interest by giving their own opinions in a critical manner. The curriculum consists of meeting the needs of the future engineer in a multicultural society.</p></lehrinhalte>
 <lernergebnisse><p>Students are able to use the English language in the professional world, such as providing input on indivudual research, reading and understanding texts based on the C1 level of the European Language Portfolio.</p></lernergebnisse>
