Scientific Seminars

At the BUAS-TI teaching and research are closely connected. In numerous research projects with partners from the industry and other universities knowledge is transferred into practical implementations. As a result, an active exchange of experience and a confrontation with new ideas is followed. Both account for fulfilling the constantly changing requirements. A series of seminars offers a new platform as an exchange among national- and international scientists.

With the seminars we primarily pursue two objectives: On the one hand they are to support the transfer of scientific knowledge into industrially applied solutions, and on the other hand to enrich the lecturing with scientific knowledge and coherence. The focus of the presentations will be on the context of science and solutions – science in the sense of understanding and solution in the sense of doing. Ultimately, the applied research and development at the BUAS-Ti is strengthened.

The seminars address lecturers, assistants and scientific employees as well as students of the BUAS-TI. Further, they are open for the scientifically interested external public, especially for colleagues from other universities and research partners from the industry.

The presentation of the scientific work of external colleagues and partners are to trigger new ideas for our own projects in research and teaching. Following the presentation and the scientific discussion we offer an “apéro”, at which there is the possibility to establish and/or socialize with contacts among other scientists and guests, as well as consolidate the integration of our activities in the international network of science.

The scientific seminars take regularly place at the BUAS-TI in Biel-Bienne, in the late afternoon of the first Monday of every month. The exact place and room will be communicated at short notice, according to the registered participants. We thank you in advance for your registration.
