In February 2008 The School of Engineering and Information Technology of the Bern University of Applied Sciences underwent an accreditation by the German Accreditation Association ASIIN in the five Bachelor studies, automotive, electrical engineering, computer science, mechanical engineering and microtechnology.
The result was positive and the ASIIN accreditation committee has accredited the TI till 30.09.2013.
The accreditation guarantees a maximum of quality of the mentioned study courses, which guarantees a user- (students-) and a consumer (employer) protection in the domains of quality, feasibility to study, transparency and comparability.
The accreditation confirms that the quality of the courses of studies offered, the mentoring and examining comply with the accredited professional standards and that whoever is awarded the academic degree by the institution is entitled to bear this labelling.
Furthermore, the orientation on predominated and institutional standards is guaranteed on the acceptance of the new Bachelor graduations, as well as national and international, on the employment market and the academic community.

Under verifiable adherence of the specified standards, the European Network for the Accreditation of Engineering Education (ENAEE) awards the Europe-widely recognized certificate to engineering study courses of the First and Second Cycle according to the Bologna Declaration as well as integrated study courses.
Coexistent with the above mentioned ASIIN Accreditation, our study courses automotive, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering and micro technology have been accredited with the Eur-Ace® Label (The EUR-ACE ® Label does not exist yet for the computer science study courses).
